Biden Vows To Run As More Democrats Ask Him To Drop Out

Biden vows to run as more Democrats ask him to drop out

US President Joe Biden is looking forward to getting back on the campaign trail next week.

The 79-year-old Democrat has been under increasing pressure from within his own party to step aside and make way for a younger candidate in 2024.

But Biden has repeatedly insisted that he intends to run for a second term, and he reiterated that commitment during a press conference on Thursday.

"I'm not going to let the noise out there affect me," Biden said. "I'm going to stay focused on the job I was elected to do, and that's what the American people want me to do."

Biden's comments come as a new poll shows that a majority of Americans believe he is too old to be president.

The poll, conducted by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, found that 58% of Americans believe Biden is too old for the job, while only 37% believe he is not too old.

The poll also found that 62% of Democrats believe Biden is too old for the job, while only 32% believe he is not too old.

Biden's age has been a major issue in the Democratic Party for months, and it is likely to continue to be a factor in the 2024 presidential election.

If Biden does run for re-election, he will face a challenge from several younger candidates, including Vice President Kamala Harris, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

The delegates will decide the next Democratic nominee in 2024, but Biden's age is likely to be a major factor in their decision.
