Two powerful earthquakes, measuring 6.0 and 7.4 in magnitude, shook Taiwan's eastern coast on Tuesday morning, causing widespread damage and injuries. The 7.4 earthquake, the strongest to hit the island nation in recent years, killed at least nine people and injured hundreds.
